Ancore was appointed to deliver a six-month foundation programme supporting critical overhead electric and fibre transmission infrastructure, where accuracy, safety, and long-term performance were non-negotiable. The scope included 53 bespoke pile cap installations, each designed with an integrated tophat to allow overhead transmission lines to be fixed with precise alignment.

The challenge lay beneath the surface. The site was underlain by soft peat soils that offered minimal bearing capacity and no tolerance for settlement. Any movement or misalignment would risk network safety, supply continuity, and compliance with UK electrical standards, placing public safety and operational reliability at the centre of every decision.

Despite the challenging ground conditions, the project was delivered safely, accurately, and on programme. The client expressed a high level of satisfaction with the outcome and has since confirmed the installation methodology as a preferred solution for future projects involving similar geotechnical environments, recognising its reliability, reduced risk, and long-term performance.
